Peer Review Process

  • A specific topic is chosen for publication in each issue of the journal that falls within the journal's goals.
  • An announcement is made to open the call for papers for the issue, and a deadline is set for receiving research papers.
  • The submitted research papers are sent to the editorial board, which reads them initially to determine which are suitable for the journal and to exclude those that are outside the journal's field of specialization.
  • Two reviewers are assigned to each research paper according to the rules of scientific arbitration at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina by the library's Publishing Department. A third reviewer is sent in case of a disagreement between the two reviewers in terms of acceptance or rejection.
  • The review of research is confidential and is based on a model that is subject to academic scientific standards. The decision to approve or reject the research for publication is a final decision. In the event of approval with amendment, the researcher is obliged to make the required amendments within the specified period.
  • The reviewers are required to write their reports on a pre-prepared form that is subject to academic standards.
  • The editorial board reviews the implementation of the comments and corrections requested by the reviewers.
